I am a digital media creative specialist with over 10 years experience in marketing and graphic design. With my Masters in Digital Media Strategy, I’ve used my work experience to learn and grow in my communications skills. I bring hard work and humor into my work environments and lean on empathy to find how to best meet a teams needs.
Between chasing around the kiddo, full time work, and taking time for myself, my project time is short most days; however, here are the ones I love sharing with others.

The client’s previous website had good information on it, but it needed some help with content organization and a visual update. I helped them create a new design using their existing website platform, Weebly, and focused on improving user experience and navigation throughout the site. The end result is a full-width, modern looking website that improves the company’s image among customers and highlights the company’s skills in the services they provide.

I previously sat on the board for a local environmental organization called Sustainable Shenandoah Valley. They are a group of higher education professionals with the mission to increase education about sustainable development in the area. I designed this logo to communicate a message of sustainability and capture the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley.

For my final Masters program project, our five-member cohort worked with The Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind in Staunton, VA. The scope of our project included a complete redesign of the website as well as creating several pieces of content (videos, social media campaigns, and setting up a quarterly newsletter). I led the website redesign and helped create a user guide to serve as a resource for the client’s reference. Through organizing and consolidating content across the site, our team was able to reduce 65+ pages of content down to about 30 pages of content. This not only made the website less cluttered, but also allowed us to organize the remaining content pages by target audiences.

This is where my “Stay Strong and Create” tagline is adapted from. The Maori people, indigenous to New Zealand had a great impact on me in my travels there years ago. I adopted this motto to ground myself in my journey through life. Working in the professional creative environment doesn’t always feel stable, and this phrase reminds me to keep pushing forward even when indeterminacy creeps in and things don’t feel so sure. Just keep creating.
